The Entry I Thought I Would Write, Then Didn't, Then Did Again, Then Just Wished I'd Not Have To.

Dad left us today around 11:30am. It was so very peaceful. Please expect a period of gushy reflection, followed by silence followed by I cannot imagine what.

Thank you.

I can only imagine how difficult the last few months have been for you and your family. I'm sure that on some level, it was a tremendous blessing to be there.

But it's still so sad to read this.

I know I haven't said this before, but y'all have been in my prayers and will continue to be there.

I was making my daily rounds and was stunned....absolutely stunned. I'm so sorry. There are no words. Just know that there are folks out here who are thinking of you and your family sending hopes of peace and strength.

I am so sorry. Please feel the hug from across the miles. I've been where you are now. It's not easy.

"Hope" is the thing with feathers –
That perches in the soul –
And sings the tune without the words –
And never stops – at all –

And sweetest – in the Gale – is heard –
And sore must be the storm –
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm –

I've heard it in the chillest land –
And on the strangest Sea –
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb – of Me.

Dearest Sister Under the Skin,

I cannot express to you how much this news affects me. I am five months further don this road you are now on, having lost my own Dad at the end of January.

I prayed for you at church today, and I will pray for you and your family every day. I am thinking of you throughout each day. May you feel a measure of comfort flowing from all of us whom you and your dad have touched.

God Bless and give you peace.

I lost my father in January very suddenly. Their abscense is something you can never really recover from.

I have found solace in my brothers and sisters. I hope this sadness can somehow bring you closer to your family as well.
